Two great friends surprised me when the photographer clicked for a shot of the three of us, but these two had something else in mind and had already decided to make the photo quite different, my eye glasses even popped out and up - you gotta laugh, I am certainly not at my best but I was pretty happy momentarilly when squished into that shot with these two devils — with Philippe Laporta and George Liberman. Shot by my good friend Ugo Magni who sent it to me after a studio portrait workshop and his message to accompany this "image" or "creation" was this: "It happened last week. One of our top photographic birder snapped. We wish her a speedy recovery." I really had to laugh after 5 minutes of total shock - I did not understand why he kept telling me to open my eyes real big when he was doing the studio shooting of me - I guess he knew all along what he was going to do with this caricature of me - heheh - I will take this with a grain of salt, and inject lots of humour hehehehhehe - this was really quite imaginative on his part and it actually looks like me, expressing whatever I feel with my eyes - he even managed to make me look skinnier, which is also a great plus — at Studio Lenoir / Studio4Fun. Just won third place in the category Animals, at the SPPQ Défi Gala presented on April 9, 2013 with a score of 87.6 - I think that what brought the judges to such give such a high score must have been the different composition of a bird that was so much photographed in the past few years with nature enthousiasts, amateurs and professionals alike. Just won last night, at the SPPQ Gala, Print Circuit, with this image of an osprey in flight, in black and white - I am super thrilled to say the least, considering that I have never entered this competition during the four years I have been at the Montreal Camera Club. The image is voted on by all members of each camera club, so it is a true reflection of everyone's
